VICTOR B. MEYEN, FAMILY LAW ATTORNEY

Victor B. Meyen is a seasoned attorney with over three decades of experience in California civil
litigation and family law. His extensive legal background spans both coasts and internationally,
shaped by his early years in New York, his work in Europe, and his long-standing practice in Los
Angeles. A graduate of Syracuse University (B.A. in Political Science, 1968), Mr. Meyen
accelerated his legal education by entering Syracuse University College of Law during his
senior year of college, earning his J.D. cum laude in 1972. He went on to receive two Master of
Laws degrees from New York University School of Law, one in Taxation (1973) and one in
Corporation Law (1980), where he also served as Graduate Editor of the Tax Law Review.

Victor’s professional journey began at prestigious Wall Street firms, Shearman & Sterling and
Carter Ledyard & Milburn, followed by a decade as corporate counsel for a Fortune 100
company, American Home Products Corporation, where he advised on complex legal issues for
a global workforce. His international experience includes practicing American law in Hamburg,
Germany, before settling in California, where he has built a distinguished reputation in family law
and civil litigation.

He is the author of the leading legal treatise Qualified Domestic Relations Order Answer Book
(Aspen Publishers), now in its third edition, and has been a member of the California State Bar
since 1990. He previously served as a member of the New York State Bar from 1973 to 2005. A
veteran of the U.S. Army with combat service in Vietnam, Mr. Meyen brings dedication,
precision, and a global perspective to his work.
